This customer wanted their family to have power even when the power grid was unavailable, but that was not their only concern. The home owner runs an online business directly from her house, and had special needs to ensure that her home office was always up and running. We started by first determining her backup power requirements. Then we helped the homeowner select the right standby power system. We installed her generator with an automatic transfer switch, which we were able to do because the size of the generator was enough to cover the entire electric panel. The Generac portable generator we selected provides consistent power to her home office that receives orders from all over the world 24 hours a day. Now, she can work at home without fear of losing orders and her family will not have worry about long power outages.

During hurricane Sandy this family experienced an outage that lasted a few days and they didn’t want to be put in that same position again, especially with a new baby girl on the way. We were asked to provide this family with a GENERAC portable generator, and install an interlocking kit. Portable generators from Generac are perfect in an emergency. We installed a manual transfer switch which now safely delivers the generator’s full power to their home’s electrical panel, backing up even hard-wired appliances like their furnace and well pump. Now this family can rest easy knowing that if an outage occurs again they will have power so they can remain safe and take care of their new baby girl.
