AJP Electric is a locally operated electrical contractor based in Tolland, Connecticut. We serve homeowners across Tolland and Hartford Counties with generator installation, panel upgrades, lighting, EV charging, and everyday residential electrical work—handled with clear communication and careful workmanship.
Our Story
Founder A. Joshua Potvin started as an electrical apprentice in 2000 on Fishers Island, NY, working on large residential projects. He later performed industrial electrical work in New London, CT, earned his Journeyman Electrical License in 2005, and founded AJP Electric LLC in 2014 after receiving his Master Electrical License.
Early on, Josh noticed that many homeowners struggled to find a reliable electrician for smaller projects around the house. That gap shaped how we still work today: no job too small, straightforward recommendations, and quality workmanship from a local team.
